Meet Martha Ramos

Natural Health Specialist

I believe in the importance of the relationship between patient and provider in order to succeed in educating, inspiring and guiding towards a healthier lifestyle.  I also believe one-size does not fit all and each patient has unique needs. My goal is to use safe, proven treatments and therapies to not only treat but to prevent complex chronic diseases.

My mission is to provide a caring approach to empower others to take control of their lifestyle choices, find body and mind balance and revitalize their health.

A Passion for Integrative Health.

Martha grew up in Midland and graduated from Lee High School.  She obtained her Associate Degree Nursing at Midland College and both Bachelor’s and Masters in Nursing at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. Martha is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and licensed by the state of Texas in Family Practice.  Her nursing experience includes Neonatal Intensive Care, Cardiology, Home Health, and School Nursing. As a Nurse Practitioner, Martha worked primarily in Family Practice as a primary care provider.

Martha began to feel frustrated to see sicker patients in such short and restricted appointment times and rarely see their health improve. She began asking herself if she was really helping her patients or just prescribing medications to help with symptoms. Over time, Martha felt like she could have a greater impact on patient’s health by practicing lifestyle and preventative medicine. These lifestyle interventions are evidenced-based and designed to address behaviors related to nutrition, physical activity, stress management, sleep, social support, and environmental exposures.

Having been diagnosed with psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, and hypothyroidism, her desire to improving health and feeling better became personal. She is passionate about empowering patients to significantly make lifestyle changes in order to improve outcomes, help manage chronic health issues, enhance overall well-being and with the goal of healing the mind, body, and spirit.
